Valued Member:

As we are gradually leaving the pandemic behind, it is encouraging and exciting to see many of you returning to the programs you loved prior to COVID.

There is no doubt that this was a challenging time. However, as we move forward there are still some hurdles to overcome, and that is why we come to you with this request.

We don’t need to remind you that the purpose of the Regina Senior Citizens Centre (RSCC) is to provide inclusive affordable programs and services that fulfill the needs and desires of older adults to support independent, healthy and active lifestyles. Our Winnipeg Street and Elphinstone Street locations provide opportunities for seniors to pursue a wide variety of affordable programs and leisure activities, learn new skills and perhaps just as importantly to simply socialize. However not all members, especially new ones, are aware of the following programs and activities the Centre has to offer.

  • and dancing activities.
  • Provide a place to learn new skills such as using social media, lapidary, quilting and painting.
  • Provide affordable housekeeping, home and yard maintenance to allow members to remain in their homes as long as possible.
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments, companionship visits, scheduled check-in calls and reassurance telephone calls to members to minimize loneliness, boredom and bullying.
  • Advocate on issues and offer seminars that are important and informative to seniors and to the entire community.
  • Provide a friendly and safe environment for seniors to socialize.

These activities have and continue to improve the quality of life of Regina’s seniors. It would not be possible to offer this array of affordable programs and activities without the help of those members who generously volunteer their time and talents, and we personally thank them for their service.

All donations, no matter how small, are important and gratefully received. A single donation of $10.00 by each member would raise $10,000. Remember that donations to RSCC are charitable donations and eligible for a tax credit. We will automatically issue a tax receipt for all donations.

Thank you for supporting RSCC and considering a donation.
